Warfel Leads Way With 15 PTS, 10 REB
HAMDEN, Conn. - Quinnipiac women's basketball dropped a MAAC contest vs. Rider, 68-62, on Thursday evening at the People's United Center in Hamden.
Paige Warfel led the Bobcats with 15 points and 10 rebounds, her seventh double-double of the season. Mikala Morris added 12 points and six rebounds, and Jaden Ward recorded 12 points.

- Rider led for the entirety of the first quarter, but never by more than four points, as the quarter ended with a 16-15 Broncs edge.
- Jumpers by Morris and DeWees in the opening possessions of the second gave the Bobcats a one-point lead, but Stella Johnson scored nine points in the quarter to assure Rider of a halftime lead.
- Down by 12, the Bobcats rattled off eight points in a row and trailed 47-40 with 1:35 remaining in the quarter., but Amari Johhnson hit a triple with 1:34 on the clock for what would be Rider's last field goal for almost seven minutes of game time.
- The Bobcats went on a 17-5 run to even the game at 52 apiece with less than four minutes to play.
- Despite tying the game, Quinnipiac proceeded to score just 10 points in the final 6:30 of regulation which allowed Rider to close things out.
- It was the first time since February 6, 2010 that the Bobcats ended the game without a made three-pointer.
- Rider's Stella Johnson scored her 2,000th career point with her first three-pointer of the game.
- The Bobcats dominated the glass once again, out-rebounding Rider by a 43-35 on the evening.
- Another quick MAAC turnaround sends the Bobcats to Fairfield on Saturday afternoon when the in-state rivals will square off at Alumni Hall.
