Senior Scores 22 in Road MAAC Win
JERSEY CITY, N.J. – Senior Taylor Herd scored a career-best 22 points to lead Quinnipiac to a 91-64 win at Saint Peter's on Thursday night.
Paige Warfel secured her sixth double-double of the season with 11 points and 13 rebounds in the win, while Cur'Tiera Haywood (17 points) and Sajada Bonner (13 points) also hit double figures in scoring.

- The first quarter featured offensive flurries from both sides as the teams combined for 18 field goals and 40 points in the opening frame.
- The Bobcats shot 59 percent from the floor and took a 23-17 lead into the first quarter break, while assisting on six of 10 made baskets in the quarter.
- Quinnipiac made 10 more field goals in the second quarter, this time dishing out seven assists and shooting 56 percent from the field.
- Sajada Bonner converted a layup off an inbounds play with less than two seconds to play to give the Bobcats a nine-point cushion at halftime.
- Bonner's bucket was part of a 19-4 Quinnipiac run that put the game out of reach in the third quarter.
- The Bobcats led by as many as 23 in the third quarter, despite shooting 39 percent from the floor and only hitting one shot from distance.
- The visitors showed a killer instinct in the game's final frame, again shooting better than 50 percent and outscoring the Peacocks 25-15.
- Quinnipiac's lead grew as large as 32 points before Saint Peter's chipped away in the game's waning moments.
- The Bobcats finished the game with 22 assists on 34 made field goals.
- Quinnipiac dominated the glass, outrebounding the Peacocks 49-28, and scored 21 second chance points while allowing just four.
- Warfel earned her sixth double-double of the season with 11 points and 13 rebounds. The senior added five assists, two steals, and a block in the win.
- Haywood was nearly perfect from the floor for the second-straight game, shooting 6-7 for 17 points. The first year was a perfect 5-5 from the free throw line as well.
- Herd's career scoring day came on 8-12 from the field and 4-7 from long distance. The senior also had six rebounds and chipped in with an assist and two steals.
- Mackenzie DeWees had another efficient night from the guard position, scoring eight points, pulling down seven rebounds, and dishing four assists.
- Shaq Edwards nearly recorded a triple-double as the junior posted eight points, seven rebounds, and eight assists in the victory.
- Quinnipiac continues its three-game road trip with a visit to New Rochelle on Saturday afternoon. The Bobcats take on the Gaels in the second of two regular season contests between the teams this season.
