Golf Continues Fall Season at Boston College

HAMDEN, Conn. – Following a solid season-opening performance at Dartmouth last weekend, the Quinnipiac women's golf team continues Fall play at the Boston College Intercollegiate in Canton, Massachusetts on Monday and Tuesday afternoon.

LAST TIME OUT - Full Release

For the first time in program history, four Quinnipiac golfers posted scores of 72 or better in the same round as Leeyen Peralta, Alexandra Sazhin, Queenie Lai, and Elena Lopez all shot par or better in the final round of laat Sunday's Dartmouth Invitational.

The Bobcats tied for sixth place overall, led by Lai's 14th place finish. Sazhin and Peralta both tied for 20th after shooting +6 for the weekend. Lopez tied for seventh after the best two-round score of her career while playing as an individual golfer.

LAST TIME AT BOSTON COLLEGE - Full Release

The Bobcats completed play at the 2018 Boston College Intercollegiate with a +72 score and a eighth-place finish out of 16 teams. On the day, Julia Kemmling (Berlin, Connecticut) led the way with a +4 (76) in the final round.

WHAT'S ON DECK? - Full Release

Quinnipiac women's golf coach John O'Connor has announced the Bobcats' schedule for the Fall 2019 season. Quinnipiac will compete in four tournaments in the Fall, in preparation for the Spring slate that culminates with the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship on Apr. 24-26. Like the 2018 season, the Bobcats will compete at the Dartmouth Invitational, Boston College Intercollegiate, and Yale Invitational. New to this season's schedule is the Lehigh Invitational in Bethlehem, Pa.
"We have a very competitive schedule in the Fall," said O'Connor, "and we'll be competing against many of our Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference opponents throughout the season. It's expected to be an outstanding Fall season with some great recruits coming in, so we look forward to the Fall season.

CLASS OF 2023 - Full Release

O'Connor welcomes three new players for the 2019-20 season as members of the Class of 2023. The three student-athletes that will join the Bobcats in the fall are Kaylee Sakoda (Cypress, Calif./Troy), Leeyen Peralta (Brea, Calif./Cornelia Connelly School), Mia Grzywinski (Farmington, Conn./Farmington).

WGCA ALL-SCHOLAR TEAM - Full Release

The Quinnipiac women's golf team earned All-Scholar Team distinction from the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) or the second-consecutive season last month. The Bobcats recorded a 3.759 team GPA to rank 11th of all Division I women's golf programs. Quinnipiac was also 19th in team grade point average in all three NCAA divisions combined.
