REHOBOTH BEACH, DE – Samantha Galantini leads the Quinnipiac grouping after the first day of the Lady Blue Hen Invitational at the Rehoboth Beach Country Club on Saturday.  The Bobcats played 36 continuous holes on Saturday and will close out play on Sunday with the tee times slated for 9 AM.

Samantha Galantini finished the first two rounds with a total score of 145 (+1) and will head into day two in a tie for ninth place. Galantini carded a 76 (+4) in the first round of the day and bounced back with a 69 (-3) in the final round on Saturday.

Marisa Flores finished one stroke behind Galantini and sits in a tie for 11th place. Flores shot a 73 (+1) in both rounds to give her a day one score of 146 (+2).

Sophia Fujita sits in 24th place after the first day of the Lady Blue Hen Invitational with a two-round total of 150 (+6). Fujita shot a 74 (+2) in the first round and a 76 (+4) in the second round on Saturday.

Michelle Wong closed out day one with a score of 155 (+11). Wong shot a 78 (+6) in the opening round and followed up with a 77 (+5) in the second round.

Vaidehi Shah closed out the Quinnipiac grouping with a score of 163 (+19). Shah shot an 81 (+9) in the first round and an 82 (+10) in the second round on the first day of the Lady Blue Hen Invitational.

The Bobcats will be back in action tomorrow, Sunday, October 25th, as they close out play at the Lady Blue Hen Invitational to cap off their fall schedule.

SCORES AND NOTES
- The Bobcats sit in a tie for fifth place (Harvard) with a team total of 596 (+20) after day one of the Lady Blue Hen Invitational.
- Samantha Galantini had the lowest round of any Bobcat on the opening day with her second-round score of 69 (-3).
- Marisa Flores was consistent all day as she carded a 73 (+1) in both rounds on Saturday.
- Flores and Galantini tied for the team lead with six birdies each. Flores also led the team with 24 pars on day one.
