Golf Earns WGCA All-Scholar Team Award

Team Posts 11th-Highest GPA in Nation
HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac women's golf team earned All-Scholar Team distinction from the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) or the second-consecutive season, the WGCA announced today.
The Bobcats recorded a 3.759 team GPA to rank 11th of all Division I women's golf programs. Quinnipiac was also 19th in team grade point average in all three NCAA divisions combined.
Earlier this week, six members of the Bobcats were also honored with individual Scholar All-America distinction from the WGCA: Amanda Tully, Darby Lillibridge, Elena Lopez, Elena Ybarra, Queenie Lai, and Alexandra Sazhin were among the 1,097 women's collegiate golfers recognized All-American Scholars.The criteria for selection for this honor are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics with a minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.

About the Women's Golf Coaches Association
The Women's Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. Today, the WGCA represents over 600
coaches throughout the U.S. and is dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.
