Bobcats Now 8-4 in MAAC Play, Sit Fourth in League Standings
Despite the loss, the Bobcats had solid pitching throughout the day Saturday as three pitchers combined for 16 strikeouts, led by starting pitcher Chris Enns (Canton, Connecticut) with eight over seven innings. Colin Donnelly (Flemington, New Jersey) and Andrew Workman (Pound Ridge, New York) each struck out four batters but Workman was saddled with the hard luck loss as Siena scored the winning run in the 13th on a fielding error.
Both teams got off to quick starts in the first inning as the Bobcats scored a pair of runs in the top of the first inning before the Saints answered with three in the bottom half. The teams settled down as Quinnipiac added single runs in the fourth and sixth innings before Siena answered with the tying run in the bottom of the sixth.
