Quinnipiac Baseball Tallies Nine Runs in 16-9 Loss to Minutemen Wednesday
Ostberg's four-hit game was the first such game of his career after recording three three-hit games earlier this season. He also belted his second career home run, scored two runs and drove in two RBIs but the Bobcats could not overcome the Minutemen.
Anthony Cruz (Burlington, Massachusetts) was also spectacular in the batter's box Wednesday as he finished 3 for 4 with three hits, two doubles, three runs scored and two RBIs in his third three-hit effort.
The Bobcats scored a run in the top of the first inning to take an early lead but it was not sustainable as the Minutemen scored 14 runs from the second to the fourth inning to put the game out of reach despite eight runs from the Bobcats over the final five innings.
