Softball Set to Play in USF Under Armour Showcase

CLEARWATER, Fla. - The Quinnipiac softball team continues play in Florida, as the USF Under Armour Showcase beings on Friday, March 15. The Bobcats will play five games in three days starting Friday and finishing Sunday.

- Friday, March 15: Quinnipiac vs Colgate at 11:45 a.m. | Quinnipiac vs Florida A&M University at 2:15 p.m.
- Saturday, March 16: Quinnipiac vs La Salle at 9 a.m. | Quinnipiac vs Florida Gulf Coast at 2 p.m.
- Sunday, March 17: Quinnipiac vs Columbia at 9 a.m.
- The Bobcats have played three games in Florida with a doubleheader against Eastern Illinois and a single game against Colgate. The Bobcats dropped game one against the Panthers, 4-0, and won game two, 1-0. Quinnipiac lost a tight contest against Colgate, 7-6, on Wednesday.
- The Raiders and the Bobcats faced each other in a single game on Wednesday, March 13. Colgate took the game, 7-6, but the Bobcats will get another chance at the Raiders on Friday. The Raiders are 8-11 on the season. Jordan Miller leads the team with a .411 average with 23 hits, seven runs, five doubles and three homeruns.
- The Florida A&M University Rattlers are 6-17 on the season. Alexis Blasingane leads the team with a .333 average through 22 games played with seven hits, two runs and one double.
- La Salle travels to Florida with a 2-8 record after going 1-4 in the JU/UNF Spring Break Challenge. The Explorers dropped games against Presbyterian College, Cleveland State and UNC Wilmington. Emma Schweigert leads the Explorers with a .345 average with 10 hits, five runs, two doubles and one homerun.
- The Eagles are 10-10 overall after splitting a doubleheader with #15 Indiana. Racquel Fournet leads the team with a team-best 20 hits for a .313 average.
- Columbia comes to Clearwater with a 2-8 record after 12 days off since playing in East Carolina's Purple & Gold Invitational. Max Ortega has recorded a .393 average with 11 hits, four runs and one double. This will be the first matchup for the Bobcats and Lions.
