Quinnipiac Breaks Program's Single-Season Record for Three-Point Field Goals in Road Win
JERSEY CITY, NJ – Quinnipiac men's basketball earned its 11th MAAC victory of the 2018-19 season on Friday Night at the Yanitelli Center, topping Saint Peter's by the final score of 77-60.
Cameron Young (26 points) and Jacob Rigoni (17 points) led the offensive charge for the Bobcats, who move to 16-12 overall and 11-6 in conference play. Quinnipiac has won six of its last eight games, dating back to Feb. 3 at Niagara.
Quinnipiac made 16 more 3-point field goals, setting a new single-season Division I program record with 310 triples. The Bobcats previous record was set just a season ago, as the program converted on 303 shots from distance in 2017-18.

- Quinnipiac went 24-for-42 (57.1 percent) from the floor in total, knocking down 16 3-point field goals.
- The Bobcats shot 59.1 percent (13-for-22) from the floor in the first half, knocking down 10 3-pointers to help take an eight point
- Cameron Young's 26 points came on 8-of-12 shooting. He went 6-for-8 from distance, and has now scored 20+ points in six straight games. The graduate guard is now up to 23.2 points per game – which leads the MAAC and ranks No. 13 nationally.
- Jacob Rigoni recorded 14 points in the first half alone, going 4-for-6 from distance in the first 20 minutes. The sophomore scored 17 total points, going 6-for-9 from the floor. Rigoni also added four rebounds.
- Junior forward Kevin Marfo recorded eight points and nine rebounds, and Abdulai Bundu posted six points and five rebounds. Marfo went a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line, and Bundu went 3-for-3 from the floor.
- Sophomore Rich Kelly added seven points, four assists and three rebounds in 34 minutes played.
- Freshman guard Tyrese Williams chipped in with six points and a team-high five assists.
- The Bobcats outscored Saint Peter's 15-5 in bench points, and outrebounded the Peacocks 30-26 in total.
- Quinnipiac's final home game of the season is on March 3 vs. Manhattan – which will also be Senior Day. The Bobcats will honor Cameron Young, Andrew Robinson, Aaron Robinson and Abdulai Bundu with a special pregame ceremony.
