QU Drops Friday Night Contest at Niagara in OT

NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, NY – Quinnipiac men's basketball dropped a MAAC contest at Niagara, 78-76, on Friday night in overtime from the Gallagher Center. The Bobcats move to 11-8 in league action with the result.
Asim Jones led QU with 18 points. He also grabbed five rebounds, recorded three steals and a pair of assists.
Amarri Monroe added 16 points and seven rebounds, while Jaden Zimmerman posted 11 points to go along with six assists.
Asim Jones made a driving layup to put the Bobcats up 68-66 with 25 seconds left, then Niagara's Reggie Prudhomme made a jumper as time expired to force overtime.
Jones then tied things at the end of overtime, knocking down a jumper with 14 seconds left to even things at 76. Prudhomme made the game-winning layup off the inbound pass as time expired, sending Niagara home with the MAAC win.
