BUFFALO, NY – Quinnipiac men's basketball earned a road win in its final contest of the regular season, defeating Canisius by the final score of 67-63 on Sunday.

Asim Jones led the Bobcats with 27 points, 23 of which came during the second half. He went 8-of-15 from the floor over the final 20 minutes of action.

Keith McKnight chipped in with a career-high 22 points. The first-year forward also grabbed nine rebounds in the win.

Quinnipiac shot 44.4% (12-27) during the second half of action, making all five 3-pointers over the final 20 minutes.

The Bobcats outscored the Golden Griffins 16-7 over the last 5:16 of play.

With the result, the Bobcats will be the #4 seed in the upcoming 2026 Air Force Reserve MAAC Men's Basketball Championship. #4 Quinnipiac will take on #5 Marist in the quarterfinal round on Saturday, March 7 at 6:00 PM from Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.

GAME REWIND
Canisius led 30-29 at the end of the first half. Keith McKnight led the Bobcats with 12 points and five rebounds over the opening 20. The Golden Griffins largest lead of during the first half was 10 points, then QU closed on a 11-3 run to cut the deficit to just one point.

Asim Jones poured in 23 points during the second half to help lead Quinnipiac to a road win. The Bobcats went on an 8-0 run to take a 64-60 lead with just over two minutes remaining, then QU never trailed again.

Quinnipiac finished 21-of-59 (35.6%) from the floor in total.
Asim Jones finishes the regular season averaging 12.7 points & 3.9 assists per game. He has tallied 20 or more points five different times during 2025-26. 27 is the highest scoring total he has reached since putting up 30 against Manhattan on 1/19/26.
Keith McKnight set a new career-high scoring mark, finishing with 22 points via 9-of-16 shooting. He also grabbed nine rebounds in 36 minutes on the floor. The first-year forward has reached double figure scoring totals in four of his last six times out.
Spence Wewe led QU with 11 rebounds over 27 minutes. He grabbed nine defensive boards.
Grant Randall, Jaden Zimmerman and Sam Nosakhare each scored four points for the Bobcats.
Quinnipiac has now taken the last five meetings against Canisius. The Bobcats are 12-15 in total against the Golden Griffins since QU joined the league in 2013-14.
