CLEARWATER, Florida - The Quinnipiac softball team rallied back from an 8-0 deficit after two innings to capture a wild 11-9 win over Maine and earn a split on the opening day of the Under Armour Showcase at the University of South Florida on Friday. Erin Lasren (pictured) had the tying home run in the sixth and tacked on another RBI in the seventh to cap off the scoring. The Bobcats dropped their first game 1-0 in nine innings to Southern Illinois, despite a stellar effort from senior pitcher Casey Herzog, who went the distance allowing only one run from a runner placed on second due to the international tiebreaker rule.
