HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's soccer finished the 2018 regular season in impressive fashion on Wednesday afternoon, as five different players scored a goal to help power the Bobcats past Monmouth, 6-0, at the Quinnipiac Soccer Stadium. With the victory, the Bobcats move to 8-1-1 in conference action.

Quinnipiac now awaits the result from tonight's contest between Manhattan and Fairfield from Lessing Field (7:00 PM). A Fairfield victory would mean that the Bobcats begin 2018 MAAC Tournament play as the No. 2 seed, while a Stags tie/loss would give the Bobcats the No. 1 seed heading into postseason play.

·  25:23 (Quinnipiac 1, Monmouth 0) – Rashawn Dally (Bloomfield, Conn.) got the scoring started for the Bobcats in the 26^th minute of play, finding the back of the net on a perfect ball from Eamon Whelan (New Fairfield, Conn.) to make it 1-0.
·  36:55 (Quinnipiac 2, Monmouth 0) – Dally found the back of the net again less than nine minutes later, locating a Monmouth turnover and blasting it in to the back of the net to make it 2-0 in the 37^th minute of play.
·  46:45 (Quinnipiac 3, Monmouth 0) – Whelan then got in on the scoring action himself, grabbing his conference-leading 12^th goal of the season in the first two minutes of the second half. Dally played the ball in to the box, then crossed to the near side and found Whelan – who touched the ball in to an open right side of the goal.

Keeper Jared Mazzola (Kahtonah, N.Y.) earned another shutout for the Bobcats, his fourth clean sheet of the 2018 season.
Quinnipiac has won 10 of its last 12 contests, outscoring opponents 26-8 in that span.
Six goals marks the most single-game scores Quinnipiac has had in its Division I program history. The Bobcats also had five different goal scorers, also the most in Division I program history.
Quinnipiac has now appeared in the MAAC Tournament semifinal round in each of the last three years. The Bobcats have qualified for the postseason in each of the last seven years, and eight of the last 11.
