NOTES
- The Bobcats have now advanced to the final round of the MAAC Championships in three of the last six years under Head Coach Eric Da Costa. Quinnipiac has made a postseason appearance in nine of the last 11 seasons.
- Goalkeeper Jared Mazzola (Kahtonah, N.Y.) turned in an impressive performance for Quinnipiac, making seven total saves throughout the contest before stopping three shots in the round of penalty kicks to help the Bobcats advance. Mazzola also stopped a Red Foxes penalty kick attempt with just over two minutes left in the second half. After the Bobcats got called for a foul inside the box, Mazzola made a diving save to his right side to keep the game tied in the 108th minute and help force penalty kicks.
- Quinnipiac has won 10 of its last 13 contests, outscoring opponents 29-11 in that span.
- Whelan's goal is his 13th of the season – which leads all MAAC players. His 13 goals in a season ranks 10th all-time in program history. Whelan was the unanimous choice for the league's Offensive Player of the Year award, and is Quinnipiac's first MAAC Offensive Player of the Year since the Bobcats joined the league in 2013.
- Dally added another goal – giving him six scores so far in 2018. He has now played in 78 career contests, which ranks tied for fifth in Quinnipiac's history. Dally joined Whelan as an All-MAAC First Team selection.
- Haehre's goal is his second-career score. The junior defender was also a First-Team All-MAAC selection.
- Quinnipiac has now had two separate six-game unbeaten streaks in 2018, going six-straight without a loss from Sept. 15 – Oct. 10, then ending the regular season and starting postseason play with another six-game undefeated streak starting on Oct. 17.
- With the win, Quinnipiac advances to the final round of the 2018 MAAC Men's Soccer Championships, which will take place on Sunday in Hamden with a noon kickoff.
