LAWRENCEVILLE, New Jersey - The Quinnipiac men's soccer team fell to MAAC-rival Rider on the road, 2-0, in the first matchup between the teams since last season's MAAC Tournament Championship rematch.

Rider outshot Quinnipiac 17-5 and 6-3 in shots-on-goal.
The Bobcats held the Broncs to just one shot in the second half.
Matthew Taylor (Dublin, Ireland) and Rashawn Dally (Bloomfield, Connecticut) attempted the most shots in the contest for the Bobcats, tallying two apiece.
Rider's first goal of the game came in the third minute when Rider's Elliot Otmani found the back of the net after a ball bounced his way after a rebound.
Rider's second goal came in the 87th minute from Otmani as well after he received a pass in the box from Jose Aguinaga.
Chrysostomos Iakovidis (Thessaloniki, Greece) had four saves on the day.
It was the ninth-straight game where Iakovidis has held the opponent to two goals or less.
James Doig (Liverpool, England) remains one win away from passing former goalkeeper Borja Angoitia for most wins by a Quinnipiac player in program history, with 33 victories.
