After the Bobcats knocked the puck loose behind their own goal, Anna Zorn chased down the puck and backhanded a pass to Higham. Higham proceeded to chip the puck on goal and it squeezed past Rossman on the post.
Marmer answered right back for the Bobcats less than three minutes later when she tied the game with 16:17 to play in the first period. Connery stole the puck away from a Big Red defender and passed the puck from behind the end line to Greco at the point. Greco then fired a shot that was blocked in front but the rebound kicked to Marmer all alone on the backdoor with Cornell goaltender Paula Voorheis still in position to save Greco's initial shot.
Quinnipiac took a 2-1 lead late in the second period on Tamberg's power-play goal. After the puck exited the offensive zone, Tamberg chased it down before feeding it across the neutral zone to Brown, who passed it to Baumgardt once she entered the neutral zone. Baumgardt shifted the puck back to Brown on the right wing before Brown passed it back to Baumgardt at the point. Baumgardt then worked the puck to Tamberg at the top of the left faceoff circle where she blasted a one-timer through a perfect screen from Connery past Voorheis.
Samoskevich gave the Bobcats a 3-1 lead with 15:12 to play in the third period. Tamberg chased down the puck in the left corner in the defensive zone for the Bobcats to gain control of the puck. She fired a pass to Cianfarano at the blue line before Cianfarano touched the puck to Samoskevich. Samoskevich raced down the right boards before cutting on goal, deking out Voorheis and roofing the shot for the goal.
Cianfarano wrapped up the scoring for the Bobcats with five minutes left in the game to make it 4-1 Quinnipiac. Roesler chased down the puck in the nearside corner before wrapping it up the boards to Cianfarano who turned up the jets on the right boards. Cianfarano pushed the puck off the boards in the neutral zone and skated around the Cornell defender before zipping into the slot and jumping past another defenseman where she wrapped the puck around Voorheis.
