Quinnipiac's first goal came in the 55th minute, as McCoy tipped in a James Doig corner kick for his second goal of the season to make it 2-1. Doig placed the ball in front of Marist's net from the far corner, and McCoy deflected it with his right foot to cut the lead to one goal.
