As a Junior in 2013-14:
Named to the 2013-14 ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team… In her first season starring as the Bobcats’ primarygoalie and replacing the best goaltender in program history, Ladenwas a revelation in net posting one of the greatest single-seasonsin Quinnipiac women’s ice hockey history … Ladenappeared in 34 games (33 starts) and posted a record of 19-6-9 witha 1.48 GAA, .928 save percentage and eight shutouts on the season… Her individual single-season numbers rank high on theall-time list at Quinnipiac as her 19 wins and eight shutouts rank2nd in program history while her 1.48 GAA is3rd and her .928 save percentage ranks 4th… She also finished the season with one of the beststatistical seasons of any goaltender in the country as she ranked4th in GAA, 13th in save percentage,10th in winning percentage and 3rd inshutouts of any goalie in Div. I … Named ECAC HockeyGoaltender of the Month for October (6-1-1, 1.17 GAA, .942 SV %, 3Shutouts) … Three-time ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Week(Oct. 8, Feb. 25 and Mar. 4) … She played in 21 of theBobcats’ 22 conference games and finished with the4th-best GAA (1.52) overall and the 3rd-bestamong goalies to play at least 50 percent of the team’savailable ice time … She also ranked 5th in theECAC Hockey with a .925 save percentage and tied for 3rdwith four shutouts in 2013-14 … After playing in just 18career games before the season, with a GAA above 2.50 and savepercentage below .910, she starred for the Bobcats and was a bigcomponent in the team ranking as the 4th-best scoringdefense in the country (1.49 GAA) … Laden didn’t rankoutside the Top 5 in terms of GAA among NCAA Div. I goalies allseason … She also shut down the nation’s3rd-highest scoring offense this season in Cornell (3.56GPG average) twice in 2013-14 … In the first matchup againstthe Big Red, Laden made 26 saves at home and allowed just onepenalty shot goal in what resulted as a 1-1 tie on Nov. 2 …She came back and gave the Bobcats one of the best games of hercareer as she posted a marvelous 27 saves and just one goal allowedin a 2-1 victory for Quinnipiac over Cornell at Lynah Rink, a placewhere the team hadn’t won since 2006 … In two gamesagainst Cornell, Laden tallied a 0.96 GAA and .964 save percentagewhile going undefeated (1-0-1) against one of the ECAC Hockeypowers … The victory catapulted the Bobcats into the No. 4seed and home ice for the ECAC Hockey Quarterfinal series againstSt. Lawrence … In those two playoff games, Laden came uphuge for the Bobcats as she allowed just one goal in the two-gamesweep while totaling 53 saves on 54 shots to lead Quinnipiac intothe ECAC Hockey Semifinals for just the third time in programhistory … Laden notched a season-high 28 saves in theBobcats’ Game One 5-0 shutout victory over the Saints and she followed that with 25 saves in a 2-1 Game Twoseries-clinching win … Laden also rode a career-long 227:12shutout streak into the playoffs as she didn’t allow a goalfrom the 10:46 mark of the first period at Cornell, all the wayuntil the 17:58 mark of the third period against St. Lawrence… Her shutout streak lasted over the course of four gameswith back-to-back shutouts at Colgate and in Game One over theSaints highlighting the streak … Laden also dominatedagainst Princeton, a top five scoring team in the conference, asshe held the Tigers to two goals in two games with 51 combinedsaves … She also didn’t allow a goal in two gamesagainst Colgate, shutting them out in both matchups this seasonwith 32 combined saves … Her first six games to start theseason was the best to start any season in the history of theprogram … Laden posted shutouts in three of theBobcats’ first six games and didn’t allow more than onegoal in any game to start the year … She posted 19 saves ina 0-0 tie at St. Cloud State to start the year and followed that upwith 27 saves to come away with the win in game two of the weekendseries against the Huskies … Laden returned home to post 24saves on 25 shots against Penn State and returned the next day topost a 14-save shutout against the Nittany Lions on Oct. 11-12… She continued her amazing start the following weekend atMaine where she shutout the Black Bears with 20 saves and thenpicked up the victory with eight saves in game two from Oct. 18-19… Laden rode an eight-game unbeaten streak from Oct. 26 toNov. 22 that included a 20-save shutout against Colgate (Nov. 1),26-save effort against No. 3 Cornell (Nov. 2), seven saves at Brown(Nov. 8), 27-save shutout at Yale (Nov. 9), 22-save victory overNo. 5 Boston College (Nov. 15), a seven-save victory over NewHampshire (Nov. 16) and 24 saves in a tie against St. Lawrence(Nov. 22) … After falling to No. 8 Clarkson at home, Ladenwas unfazed in her next matchup as she posted 26 saves in a 1-1 tieat Princeton on Nov. 26 … She picked up back-to-backvictories heading into the winter break, defeating Union (15 saves)and Rensselaer (18 saves) on Dec. 6-7 … After the one-monthbreak, Laden tallied 25 saves in a win over Princeton on Jan. 7 andpicked up an 11-save shutout at Union on Jan. 11 … She cameup big with 15 saves in a Jan. 31 victory over Dartmouth andfollowed with 24 saves in a 2-2 tie against No. 3/5 Harvard thenext day … Laden rode her career-best scoreless streakstarting on Feb. 21 with her big road victory over No. 3 Cornelland continued that into the postseason where she starred againstthe No. 5 seed St. Lawrence in the two-game series sweep.
As a Sophomore in 2012-13:
Named to the 2012-13 ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team...Made six starts and appeared in seven games for theBobcats…Posted a record of 2-2-1 with a 2.97goals-against-average, .885 save percentage and 139 saves in over363 minutes…Suffered a tough luck defeat in her first startof the season on 10/6 against Mercyhurst as she posted acareer-high 35 saves on 39 shots…Earned her first victory ofthe season on 10/13 in a matchup against Maine as she made 19 savesand allowed just two goals…Finished with her third career30-save game on 10/20 against Syracuse despite taking theloss...Made a crucial save on a potential game-winner with lessthan 10 seconds remaining in a tense 11/9 matchup with Union as shehelped earn her team a 2-2 tie with 16 saves…Allowed twogoals in two periods of action entering in relief of startingnetminder Victoria Vigilanti, making 14 saves in herouting…Posted one of her best games of the season on 1/19 ina road matchup against Robert Morris as she made 22 saves on 24shots to pick up the victory…Started on 2/2 against Yale andposted three saves on five shots in the first period.
As a Freshman in 2011-12:
Named to the 2011-12 ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team...Made ninestarts and appeared in 11 games for the Bobcats…Was namedECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week on 11/29…Finished the seasonwith a 5-5 record, 2.32 goals-against average, and 240 saves in 568minutes…Led the team with a .916 save percentage, which wasgood for 10th among ECAC goaltenders with at least 500minutes of ice time…Posted 32 saves in her first careerstart on 10/15 against Northeastern…Was the team’swinning goaltender as she denied a season high 33-of-34 shots (.971save percentage) against No. 4 Boston College in a 2-1 overtimevictory…The win against Boston College kicked off a streakof four consecutive wins for Laden…She recorded anotherovertime victory on 12/3 against Yale as she held the Bulldogs totwo goals while denying 19 shots…Recorded 32 saves in a 4-1win over Colgate on 1/14…Posted her first career shutout,recording 19 saves in a 3-0 win over Syracuse on 1/27…HeldSyracuse to one goal in 42 minutes on 1/28, tallying 17 saves indefeat…Reeled off 28 saves on 31 shots against Clarkson on2/11…Finished the year with one goal allowed in 52 minutes,posting 12 saves for her fifth victory with a 6-2 win over Union on2/17.
