No. 5 Quinnipiac Knocks Off Colgate on Senior Night

HAMDEN, Conn. — The No. 5 Quinnipiac men's ice hockey program skated to a Senior Night victory over Colgate on Saturday night, getting one step closer to an ECAC regular season championship.
The Bobcats received a pair of goals from their senior class, including the opener from Will Gilson who ripped a power-play tally home from the point.
After Colgate made it a 2-1 contest, the Bobcats answered 40 seconds later courtesy of Ethan Wyttenbach and then a late tally in the second from Anthony Cipollone to have the home team take control.
Wyttenbach joined Mason Marcellus and Antonin Verreault with multi-assist outings.

Quinnipiac eyes a regular season title on Friday night when they take on Dartmouth at 7 p.m., in Hanover, N.H.

Wyttenbach joined Mason Marcellus and Antonin Verreault with multi-assist outings.

- Wyttenbach tied the first-year Division I scoring record, now standing with 54 points on the year. He also stands with 32 assists, which ties him for the top mark by a first-year Bobcat as well.
- Gilson has recorded a point in six of the last seven contests, totaling eight over that span.
- Verreault has a point in seven of his last eight appearances. He has 13 in that stretch.
- Marcellus has six games of two-plus assists on the year.
- Quinnipiac has scored three-plus goals in 26 games this season, going 24-0-2 in those contests.
