RECORDS ARE MEANT TO BE BROKEN
- First-year forward Ethan Wyttenbach is headed into Quinnipiac history in his first campaign in Hamden, chasing both rookie and overall records in the program's Division I history.
- His 54 points currently tie him with Brian Herbert for the most points by a first-year Bobcat in the program's Division I history and is recording the second-highest scoring season by anyone since 2008-09.
- He is five points off the overall Division I program scoring record, currently held by Collin Graf and Bryan Leitch.
CLEARY CHASING
- Quinnipiac is chasing down its sixth consecutive Cleary Cup as the ECAC's regular season champion and will be in historic company if it does so.
- With three points this weekend, the Bobcats will clinch yet another title and put them in historic company. Only Minnesota State has ever won six consecutive league regular season titles and Quinnipiac is the only school in the country to win five consecutive regular season titles in a singular league.
- The Bobcats need only one point on Friday night or three total points on the weekend to clinch the trophy.
DYNAMIC DUO
- The defensive pairing of Elliott Groenewold and Braden Blace has shined since the Christmas break, with the two currently 1-2 in plus-minus since January 2. Groenewold sits at a +26 rating, while Blace is four behind at +22.
- Groenewold also leads the nation in plus-minus overall at a plus-38. That mark is also the second-highest of any NCAA skater at this point in the season since at least 2002-03.
THREE'S COMPANY
- The Bobcats offense has been rolling consistently this season, scoring three or more goals in 26 of its 34 games this season. They are undefeated in these outings, currently sitting at 24-0-2.
- The 26 such outings lead the country, with Michigan and Michigan State one behind at 25. They are one of five teams in the country that have not lost when scoring three or more and join Michigan and Providence as the only teams who have only done it 20 or more times without a loss.
