Givens Pots Four, Bobcats Battle Hard in Defeat to No. 14 Yale
2/17/2026 8:56:00 PM | Women's Lacrosse
NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Senior Julia Givens ripped off four goals, while first-year Brie Provenzano posted three points but the Quinnipiac women's lacrosse team's upset effort fell short in a 15-9 defeat at No. 14 Yale on Tuesday afternoon in New Haven.
The Saint Francis Pa., transfer recorded four of Quinnipiac's first six goals in a game that stayed largely within reach, with the hosts up by three headed to the four quarter.
Provenzano added her first collegiate tally with 9:22 to go in the fourth but the Bobcats would not be able to score again after that, with Yale scoring the game's final three goals.
Mia Delmond scored the other two of Quinnipiac's first six, including her 100th career tally in the first quarter.
Shannon Alden made nine saves, while Emma Miller-Ayala recorded three draw controls to lead the Bobcats in that department.
