Bobcats Drop Final Game of UNLV Desert Classic

LAS VEGAS, NV. – The Quinnipiac softball team dropped their final game of the tournament to Seattle U 9-1.
All nine runs by the Redhawks were scored between the second and third innings, highlighted by four doubles, a triple, and a sac fly.
Four different Bobcats recorded a hit, with catcher Riley Potter going 2-2. Quinnipiac would score their lone run in the bottom of the fifth on a sac fly by Natalia Apatiga. First-year pitcher Lanie Adie came in as relief, allowing no runs, no hits while recording a strikeout.
The Bobcats have a 1-4 record after opening weekend.
