Delmond Sisters Power Trouncing of Manhattan

EllaGrace, Mia each put up six points in dominant road win
BRONXVILLE, N.Y. — The Quinnipiac women's lacrosse team rolled on Saturday, defeating Manhattan by a All15-1 final at Gaelic Park on Saturday afternoon.
The Bobcat defense pitched a shutout for the majority of the game, allowing Manhattan's lone goal with 4:43 left in the fourth quarter off a free-position shot.
Quinnipiac was off and rolling early thanks to the Delmond sisters, with each recording six-point days to power the attack.
The two combined for eight of the 10 goals in the first half, with EllaGrace scoring all five of her's and Mia adding three, including a highlight-reel BTB to give the visitors all they would need.
The defense was suffocating all afternoon, forcing 22 Manhattan turnovers and allowing just seven shots on goal.

STATS AND NOTES
- The one goal allowed by Quinnipiac is the fewest since March 2006, when they also allowed one to Saint Francis U.
- EllaGrace Delmond's five-goal outing puts her at 28 on the year, with 11 coming in the last three games.
- Mia Delmond recorded a season-best six points, tying her outing on Feb. 28, 2024 for her collegiate high in that department.
- Peyton Choma added a pair of goals to start the second half, putting her at five over the last three games.
- Entering this season, the Bobcats had not held a team to seven or fewer shots on goal in the last 15 seasons. They have now done it twice this season (5 vs. CCSU and 7 today).
- Mary Hage finished the day with three points, scoring a goal and chipping in two assists. It's one off her career best, coming against UMass Lowell earlier this year.
- Anna Givens dished a pair of assists, marking her eighth multi-point game of the season.
