QU Earns Comeback Win at Canisius, Advances to Semifinals

BUFFALO, NY - Quinnipiac Men's Lacrosse scored five consecutive goals in the fourth quarter on Sunday afternoon at Canisius, earning a thrilling 12-10 comeback win to advance in the MAAC Tournament.
Justin Robbert began the fourth-quarter scoring outburst for QU, finding the back of the cage twice to make it a one-goal game. Trevor Douglas tied the contest 10-10 with 6:54 left, then Nate Watson gave Quinnipiac the lead with 6:13 left. Glenn Platania added an empty-netter to help clinch the road victory.
Mason Oak made 14 saves to help anchor the defensive end for QU. Robbert finished with four goals and one assist.
With the victory, the #6 Bobcats will now head to top-seeded Sacred Heart on Thursday, May 1 for a MAAC semifinal contest.
Quinnipiac advances to the semifinal round of the MAAC postseason tournament for the 5th time since joining the league (2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2025).

NOTES
- The Bobcats outscored the Griffs 5-1 in the 4th quarter of action. QU outshot Canisius 11-10 in the final frame, forced 5 Griff turnovers, and went a perfect 6-for-6 on clear attempts down the stretch.
- Justin Robbert led the offensive charge with five points via four goals and one helper. The junior now leads Quinnipiac with 41 points on the season. Robbert has 85 career points at the collegiate level.
- Nate Watson added three goals of his own, stretching his season total to 26 (leads the team). He found the back of the cage once in the first, once in the second, and once in the fourth quarter of action. Watson also scooped up five ground balls.
- Glenn Platania chipped in with a goal and an assist – his first two points of the season.
- Owen Murray, Ryan Downing, Trevor Douglas and Frank Mousa each added a goal of their own to contribute to the road win.
- Mousa won 10 faceoff battles, and scooped up seven ground balls for the day.
- Mason Oak finished with another double-digit save performance, making 14 stops on the defensive side for the Bobcats.
- Nick Meoni caused three turnovers and scooped up three ground balls.
- Quinnipiac now advances to the semifinal round of the MAAC Tournament, as the Bobcats will travel to Sacred Heart for an in-state battle with a trip to the championship game on the line.
- Game time is set for 3:00 PM from Campus Field in Fairfield, CT.
