Quinnipiac exploded for 13 first-half goals while holding Merrimack to just two, taking complete control early. EllaGrace Delmond matched her career high with seven goals to lead the Bobcats, with Cate Bendowski adding a season-best four. Quinnipiac fired off 32 shots with 23 on target, and seven different players found the back of the net. Shannon Alden anchored the defense with nine saves in goal.
DRAWING CLOSER
Junior Sophia Coan continues to climb the single-season draw control charts for Quinnipiac. She is currently sitting at 61, which brings her even with Sophia Iaccino, who held the record with 61 during the 2021 campaign. She is seated in fourth in the MAAC place for draw controls per game.
Coan also tied a single-game history record earlier this season, recording nine draw controls against East Carolina on March 15. That tied her with Emily Feeney, Phoebe LaPlante, and Gibney for the most in a game in program history. She also has six outings of seven or more DCs in a game since joining the Bobcats in 2024, placing her in the top 10 in program history.
RECORD CHASING
EllaGrace Delmond and Abby Wise are cementing their names as some of the top offensive names in program history when their collegiate careers end in the next couple of weeks. Delmond joined the 100-goal club at Fairfield on Wednesday, becoming just the 11th Bobcat to hit the mark and is eighth seventh all-time in career goals with 113. She is the only Bobcat who will graduate this decade to reach that mark.
