Zimmerman Named MAAC Player of the Week

Sophomore Guard Led Bobcats in Scoring During 2-0 Start to League Play
HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac guard Jaden Zimmerman has been selected MAAC Player of the Week, as revealed by the league office on Monday, Dec. 8, 2025.
Zimmerman helped lead the Bobcats to a pair of MAAC wins this past week to open up the conference portion of the schedule. He posted identical 19-point / 6-rebound efforts on both Friday and Sunday.
The sophomore was on the floor for 39 of 40 minutes in the MAAC opener on Friday night in New Rochelle. He shot 7-of-16 from the floor to help lead the Bobcats to a double-digit win over Iona. Zimmerman's final line against the Gaels was 19 points, 6 rebounds, 5, assists, 3 steals and 1 block.
Zimmerman then poured in 19 more points in Sunday's victory over Rider in Hamden. He went 8-of-14 from the field and 2-of-4 from long distance. He scored 11 points over the final 20 minutes to help the Bobcats finish off a 2-0 start to MAAC play.
The Bronx, New York native leads Quinnipiac with 17.0 points per game so far in 2025-26. He has led QU in scoring in each of the last four contests.
The MAAC weekly award is QU's first of the season.
Quinnipiac returns to the floor on Saturday, Dec. 17, as the Bobcats will play host to non-conference opponent UMass Lowell. Game time is slated for 2:00 PM from M&T Bank Arena.
