With the loss, the Bobcats will fall to 17-24 overall and 7-9 in MAAC play, while Niagara will improve to 27-12 overall and 14-2 in the conference.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Jared Zimbardo led off to start the game and immediately gave the Bobcats a 1-0 lead as he blasted a solo home run to left field.

Quinnipiac added onto their lead in the fourth inning, scoring three runs in the frame. With the bases loaded, Matt DeRosa drew a walk to score CJ Willis. Kyle Garbowski stepped in as the next batter and grounded into a double play, which allowed Gabe Wright to score. With one runner on, Dominick Proctor doubled into the left center gap to bring home Christian Smith to make it a 4-0 game.

Niagara would respond in the fifth inning as they brought home six runs in the frame. Niagara took the lead on a two-run home run down the right field line. QU made it a one-run game in the sixth inning as Julian Buchman reached on a fielder's choice and Matt DeRosa crossed the plate.

Niagara would extend their lead back to two runs with a sacrifice fly to center field in the sixth inning. In the next inning, the Purple Eagles added two more runs as they came across on a throwing error. Niagara would push their lead to five in the eighth inning on an RBI single up the middle, making it 10-5.
The Bobcats would load the bases in the ninth inning as the rain started to come down. Matt DeRosa drew a bases loaded walk to bring home a run, making it a four-run game. With a 3-2 count and the bases still loaded, Dominick Proctor watched the pitch sail out of the zone to bring home another run. Niagara would get the final batter out on a strike out to finish off the win.

- Six different Bobcats recorded hits in the loss to Niagara.
- Dominick Proctor (3-for-4) and Matt DeRosa (1-for-3) each drove in two runs to lead the offense.
