Quinnipiac Returns Home for Mount on Saturday

HAMDEN, Conn. — The Quinnipiac women's lacrosse team returns home on Saturday afternoon, hosting league foe Mount St. Mary's at Noon in Hamden. The Bobcats just wrapped up a stretch where five of six were away from home and will host four of the next six at the Quinnipiac Lacrosse Stadium.

Teams: Quinnipiac (1-7, 0-2 MAAC) vs. Mount St. Mary's (2-7, 0-2 MAAC)

The Bobcats rallied from an 6-2 first-quarter deficit, taking the lead in the fourth quarter, but Marist would end up scoring the final two goals of the contest in a 13-12 Red Foxes win on Wednesday in Poughkeepsie.
Mia Delmond and Cate Bendowski each potted hat tricks, while Abby Wise added a trio of assists in the victory.

The Bobcats currently sit second in the MAAC and 38th nationally in free-position percentage, converting .475 percent from the eight-meter hash. They are also third in the league and 23rd in the country in ground balls per game (17.75).
Sparacio and EllaGrace Delmond are two of the most efficient in the eight-meter shot, converting on 77.8 percent and 75.0 percent of opportunities, respectively. Those marks are both good for top 20 nationally and top two in the MAAC. Mazzucco currently stands third in the league in saves per game (8.13), while Melissa Murphy is fourth in the conference and 24th in the NCAA in caused turnovers per contest (1.88).
