POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – Quinnipiac Men's Lacrosse takes its unbeaten streak to Marist on Saturday afternoon, as the Bobcats and Red Foxes are set for a 1:00 PM MAAC battle.
IMPRESSIVE START
- Quinnipiac has received votes in the latest set of national polls (Inside Lacrosse, US Lacrosse Magazine, USILA).
- The 2024 Bobcats are 6-0 under Head Coach Mason Poli. The last time QU won six straight times to begin the year came in 2008.
- Junior goalie Mason Oak leads the entire country in saves per game (16.33) and save percentage (64.1%). He has stopped 98 shots while only allowing 55 goals.
- QU has been led offensively by Ryan Donnery (27 points), Dylan Donnery (26 points), Steven Germain (22 points), and John DeLucia (20 points) through six matchups.
- The Bobcats rank fourth in the country in shot percentage, scoring on 36.3% of their attempts.
- The Tewaaraton Foundation has announced the first round of additions to the 2024 Tewaaraton Award Men's and Women's Watch Lists. The lists include the top players across all three divisions of NCAA lacrosse and highlight the early contenders for this year's Tewaaraton Award.
- Quinnipiac goalie Mason Oak has been included in the first round of additions, as revealed on March 7, 2024.
- The two-time MAAC Defensive Player of the Week has made save totals of 19, 15, 19, 15, and 16 this year.
- Quinnipiac Men's Lacrosse improved to 6-0 to begin the season, downing Wagner in MAAC play by the final score of 14-8 at the QU Lacrosse Stadium.
- The Bobcats move to 2-0 league play with the victory. Ryan Donnery led QU with 7 total points, while Dylan Donnery and Steven Germain each scored 3 times.
- Mason Oak - the nation's leader in saves per game - made 14 more stops in front of the cage for QU.
- Quinnipiac won its fifth consecutive contest on Saturday afternoon at Canisius, as the Bobcats toppled the Golden Griffs 14-7 in the MAAC opener.
- QU scored seven times in each half during the win.
- Dylan Donnery led the way with four goals, as six different Bobcats tallied a score in the victory. Evan Perry and Jake Tellers each chipped in with three goals and a helper.
- Mason Oak – the nation's leader in saves per game – made 16 more stops in the victory. He allowed just seven goals on 45 total Canisius shot attempts.
- Quinnipiac Men's Lacrosse won its fourth consecutive contest on Saturday afternoon at Merrimack, winning on the road by the final score of 15-12.
- Dylan Donnery paced the Bobcats with 5 total points (3 goals, 2 assists). John DeLucia scored four times in the victory.
- Goalie Mason Oak made 15 more saves in front of the cage. He leads the country in saves per game, and has stopped 68 shots while only allowing 40 goals through four matchups.
- Quinnipiac Men's Lacrosse battled to its third straight win to begin the 2024 season, downing Bryant on the road by the final score of 13-10.
- Mason Oak made 19 saves in front of the cage to help anchor the defensive side, and Dylan Donnery recorded four goals and three assists to help QU earn improve to 3-0.
- John DeLucia added three goals and one helper, Trevor Douglas chipped in with three goals, and Ryan Donnery tallied three assists in the win.
- QU went 17-of-19 on clear attempts in the victory.
- Quinnipiac outlasted Brown by the final score of 13-7 on Saturday afternoon, improving to 2-0 on the 2024 season.
- Steven Germain led the Bobcats offensively with four goals and three assists (seven total points).
- Ryan Donnery chipped in with three goals and a helper, while Evan Perry and John DeLucia each added two scores.
- Mason Oak made 15 saves in front of the cage to help lead the Bobcats to another win.
- Max Pauwels went 12-for-24 in the faceoff x, scooping up six ground balls.
- QU opened up the 2024 season in stellar fashion on Saturday, Feb. 10, downing St. John's on the road by the final score of 17-11.
- Dylan Donnery scored a game-high five goals to pace QU offensively.

- Junior Mason Oak made 19 in front of the cage during an impressive season debut.
- Sophomore Max Pauwels won 10-of-20 faceoffs and scooped up six ground balls.
- The Bobcats went 23-of-27 in clears.
- QU has won each of its last three season openers under Head Coach Mason Poli.

- Quinnipiac Men's Lacrosse and Head Coach Mason Poli have revealed the Bobcats' captains for the upcoming 2024 season, as announced on Feb. 7, 2024.
- John DeLucia, Zack Siegel, Steven Germain, and Trevor Douglas will serve as the leadership group for Quinnipiac – who begins the new season on Saturday, Feb. 10 at St. John's.
- DeLucia, a two-time captain, enters his fifth season at Quinnipiac with 96 career points (68 goals, 28 assists). He led the Bobcats with 52 total points a season ago, scoring 31 goals over 14 QU contests. DeLucia tallied six hat tricks in 2023. The Guilford, Connecticut-native has recorded 53 goals over the last two seasons with the Bobcats.
- Zack Siegel will represent QU as a captain for the second consecutive season. He's played in 30 games over the past three years at Quinnipiac, helping anchor the Bobcats' defense under Poli. Siegel has scooped up 33 ground balls, and has caused 15 turnovers during his time at QU.
- Steven Germain returns for his senior season with the Bobcats after scoring 24 goals to go along with 23 assists (47 points) last year. Germain has 84 career points at QU over three seasons – 48 goals and 36 helpers. The Setauket, New York-native enters the spring of 2024 having played in 34 games at QU.
- Trevor Douglas rounds out the leadership group for the Bobcats. The senior midfielder enjoyed a breakout season for the Bobcats in 2023, recording all 23 career points (18 goals, five assists) a year ago. Douglas has also scooped up eight ground balls and caused three turnovers during his collegiate career.
- Mason Poli, a former standout lacrosse player at Bryant University, enters his 10th season with the Quinnipiac coaching staff in 2023-2024 – and his sixth at the helm of the program.
- After serving as an assistant for the Bobcats' program for four seasons (2015-18), Poli was elevated to Interim Head Coach for the 2019 season. He was then named Men's Lacrosse Head Coach on May 10, 2019, becoming the Bobcats' sixth head coach in program history and third at the Division I level.
- QU has won 22 games in five seasons under Poli to this point.
- In 2019 as Interim Head Coach, Poli led Quinnipiac men's lacrosse to a 9-7 (5-2 MAAC) record and a MAAC Tournament championship contest appearance. Poli led all first-year Division I head coaches in total wins (9) and winning percentage (.562) in 2019.
- Quinnipiac Men's Lacrosse has been selected to finish 5th in the 2024 Preseason MAAC Coaches' Poll, as revealed by the league on Wednesday, Jan. 24.
- John DeLucia (attack), Steven Germain and Jake Tellers (midfield) and Ryan Downing (LSM) were all selected to the Preseason All-MAAC squad, as well. The Bobcats received 65 total points in the poll and one first-place vote.

- QU went 7-6 overall most recently in the spring of 2023. The Bobcats finished with the second-highest scoring offense in the league (13.07 Goals Per Game), and ranked first in the league/14th nationally in assists (8.00 APG).
- Quinnipiac has turned in a winning conference record in three of five seasons under Head Coach Mason Poli. The 2024 Bobcats will return All-MAAC performers Steven Germain, John DeLucia, Jake Tellers and Justin Robbert.
