WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Quinnipiac baseball team will travel down to Williamsburg, Virginia to battle the William & Mary Tribe in a three-game set. Game one of the series is set for Friday, March 15 with first pitch scheduled for 6 PM. The Bobcats and Tribe will wrap up their series with game three set to for 1 PM on Sunday March 17.

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Quinnipiac baseball team will travel down to Williamsburg, Virginia to battle the William & Mary Tribe in a three-game set. Game one of the series is set for Friday, March 15 with first pitch scheduled for 6 PM. The Bobcats and Tribe will wrap up their series with game three set to for 1 PM on Sunday March 17.
HISTORY VS. WILLIAM & MARY
- Friday's matchup will mark the 9th time these programs will be facing off.
- William & Mary leads the all-time series, 5-3.
- The Tribe defeated the Bobcats in their first five meetings before the Bobcats swept a three-game series from them in 2018 (Feb. 23-25).
- The Tribe enters the three-game set with a 11-6 overall record, while posting a 9-4 home record.
- William & Mary is coming off a 20-6 (F/7) win against Longwood in a mid-week matchup on Wednesday, March 13.
- The Tribe fell to the University of Virginia on Tuesday, March 12 by a final score of 6-2.
- Joe Delossantos has started all 17 games for the Tribe so far this season and leads the team with a .391 batting average. Delossantos is tied for the team lead with 21 RBIs and second on the team with five homers. Delossantos is 7-for-7 in stolen base attempts so far this campaign.
- Nate Knowles has made six appearances for the Tribe and boasts a 1-0 record. With 20.0 innings pitched under his belt early into the season, Knowles has a 0.90 ERA and has recorded 33 strikeouts, which leads the team.
- The Bobcats defeated the CCSU Blue Devils, 8-7, in Hamden on Tuesday, March 12.
- Sean Swenson and Keegan O'Connor combined for six RBIs to help propel the Bobcats past the Blue Devils.
- Seven of the nine starters recorded hits in the game for the Bobcats.
- Eight pitchers combined for seven strikeouts with Frank Craska being credited with the win and Matt Alduino picked up the save.
- Junior Keegan O'Connor enters his senior season.
- O'Connor was named to the All-MAAC First Team and NEIBA All-New England First Team
- O'Connor played and started in 55 games a season ago and batted .342.
- He blasted 13 home runs and drove in 60 runs and scored 51 runs.
- O'Connor drove in a game-high 7 runs in a win over Saint Peter's (5/11).
- Sebastian Mueller was named to the 2023 MAAC All-Academic Team
- Mueller played in 56 games and made 55 starts as a junior
- In 225 at-bats just a season ago, Mueller had a batting average of .311.
- He hit 18 homers, to lead the team, and drove in 54 runs.
- Mueller went 4-for-7 and drove in a season high 8 runs in a win over Saint Peter's (5/11)
- The Bobcats return 23 players from last season's team.
- Sophomore Matt Alduino will be a key returner as he earned 2023 All-Rookie honors for his incredible campaign. Alduino led the team with a 4.50 ERA and 1.38 WHIP.
- Starting Pitchers, Mason Ulsh and Jimmy Hagan will also play a key role this season. Hagan will return to the mound after being shut down last season. Ulsh will look to play off his solid sophomore season.
- Other key returners include Braydon Seaburg, John Heitzman, Sean Swenson, Aaron Zenus, Matt DeRosa, Sam Favieri, Frank Craska, and Andrew Rubayo.
- Quinnipiac welcomes 13 new faces to their campus this season.
- The Bobcats used the transfer portal to fill any openings and grabbed Dominick Proctor (Bryant and Stratton), CJ Willis (Western New England), Skyler Manelski (Linfield University), Jack Kabel (Nichols College), Gabe Wright (Indian River State College), Brett Leighton (Gettysburg), and Jack Gannon (Saint Peter's).
- Quinnipiac also brought in six first years, Spencer Chard (Newtown, Conn.), Kyle Garbowski (New Fairfield, Conn.), Raymond McNaught (East Bridgewater, Mass.), Andrew Hearn (Westfield, Mass.), James Fahan (Stamford, Conn.), and Sam Ametrano (Guilford, Conn.).
- The Bobcats will make the short trip to New Haven to take on the Yale Bulldogs on Wednesday, March 20 at 3 PM.
