Ricketts Tabbed with ECAC Honor After Historic Performance

Grad student recorded program's first four-goal game since at least 2002-03
DANBURY, Conn. — Grad student Jack Ricketts made Division I program history on Sunday afternoon, scoring the Bobcats' first four goals of a thrilling 6-5 victory over American International, setting a new Division I mark for goals in a game in Bobcat program history.
On Monday afternoon, he was recognized by the ECAC as its Forward of the Week, presented by Bluebird Hotels.
The Oakville, Ontario native scored two-thirds of Quinnipiac's output in a victory that saw them close the 2024 calendar year with a win over its Atlantic Hockey foe. Ricketts now leads the NCAA's Division I active players with 54 goals to his name.
The first three of the day came in breakaway fashion, as the Bobcats ran out to a 3-0 lead. The advantage was then extended to 4-1 when Ricketts deflected a point shot from Charlie Leddy in front, seizing program history with that tally. It is the 40th hat trick in program history, the first since Collin Graf potted a trio of goals against Union on Feb. 17, 2024.
It is the first natural hat trick since Travis St. Denis scored three in a row against RPI on Nov. 15, 2014, but Ricketts is the only one to score four goals in a Division I contest for the Bobcats.
Quinnipiac takes back to the ice on Wednesday night, taking on ECAC foe Harvard at 7 p.m., at the Bright-Landry Center in Cambridge, Mass.
Puck drop is slated for 7 p.m. and can be seen live on ESPN+.
