Labad Notches Hat Trick in Win vs. Syracuse

HAMDEN, Conn. – Maya Labad scored her first career hat trick in QU's 4-1 win over Syracuse on Saturday afternoon.
After a slow start with a scoreless first period, the Orange jumped in front with a goal two minutes into the second frame.
Maya Labad would even score three minutes later after bury a loose puck in front after a pass from Maddy Samoskevich.
Labad added another three minutes after the first on the power play, going top corner after Makayla Watson found her in the slot.
She added another in the third on the power play to push the Bobcat lead before Kahlen Lamarche sealed the victory with an empty net goal.

The Bobcats open up ECAC play next weekend, heading to Brown on Friday night before making the short trip to Yale on Saturday.

- Kaley Doyle made 21 saves to secure her fourth win of the season.
- Maya Labad scored the first hat trick of her career and she now leads all Bobcats with eight career multi-goal games.
- Jenna Donohue and Makayla Watson each had two assists.
- It was Watson's second multi-assist game of the season.
- Donohue notched her fourth career multi-assist game.
- Kahlen Lamarche scored a goal and had one assist.
- She now has 12 multi-point games in her career.
- Lamarche also had a career-high 10 shots on goal.
