NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. – Braydon Seaburg led the offense with two RBIs, as the Quinnipiac baseball team was downed by MAAC foe Niagara, 5-4, Thursday afternoon at Bobo Field.

With the loss, the Bobcats fell to 10-16 overall on the season and 4-3 in the MAAC, while the Purple Eagles improved to 13-10 on the 2023 campaign and 4-3 in the MAAC with the victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bobcats struck first in the second inning for two runs after Braydon Seaburg lined a two-run single to the outfield to put Quinnipiac ahead 2-0. However, Niagara responded with five runs of their own in the bottom of the frame to take a 5-2 lead.

Trailing 5-3 in the fourth, Matt DeRosa singled to right, scoring Keegan O'Connor from second to bring the score to 5-4. However, the deficit proved to be too much for the Bobcats as they came up short, 5-4.

Kyle Maves and McGwire Tuffy added two hits apiece in the contest
Maves extended his hitting streak to 14 consecutive games
Sean Swenson and Matt DeRosa added an RBI apiece in the loss

The Bobcats will be back in action on Friday, April 7, when QU takes on MAAC foe Niagara at 2 p.m. to continue a three-game series
