NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. – The Quinnipiac baseball team carries its four-game MAAC win streak on the road to Niagara, as the Bobcats open a three-game set against the Purple Eagles. First pitch from Bobo Field is set for Thursday at 3 p.m.

Anthony Donofrio and McGwire Tuffy combined to drive in five runs, as the Quinnipiac baseball team was downed by in-state foe Central Connecticut, 9-7, Tuesday afternoon at the CCSU Baseball Field
Anthony Donofrio led the offense with two hits, including a homer and three RBIs
Kyle Maves added four hits, including two triples and three runs scored
Maves extended his hit streak to 13 consecutive games
McGwire Tuffy added a hit and two RBIs

Zimbardo batted a career-best .307 and boasted 50 hits and an on-base percentage of .380 last season
He recorded career highs in runs scored (28), doubles (11), triples (2), home runs (6), RBIs (24), and stolen bases (7)
His 50 hits were tied for third on the team last season

O' HE'S HEATING UP

Junior Keegan O'Connor is enjoying a breakout junior campaign
O'Connor is batting .293 on the season which ranks third on the team
O'Connor ranks third on the team in hits with 27
He boasts four homers, two doubles and 19 RBIs on the campaign
O'Connor has homered in four of his last seven games
O'Connor was hot at the opening MAAC series at Rider, batting .750 (9-for-12) with two homers and four RBIs over the three-game stretch

SAINT ANTHONY DONOFRIO

Anthony Donofrio was the lone Quinnipiac player to earn All-MAAC Preseason honors heading into 2023
Donofrio is batting .312 on the season
He ranks second on the team with 29 hits on the season
Donofrio leads the team with six homers and 24 RBIs
In a 4-0 weekend for the Bobcats at UMES, Donofrio batted .412 with seven hits, including two doubles, two homers, and six RBIs
Donofrio boasted a slugging percentage of .882% and recorded five runs scored in the series sweep over UMES
He tallied at least a hit in each contest, including two in all but one contest.
Last season, Donofrio earned All-MAAC Second Team honors as an outfielder
Donofrio batted .343 in 2022, boasting a team-best 61 hits while adding 11 doubles, seven homers, two triples, and 25 RBIs
Donofrio was a menace on the basepaths, swiping 15 bags last season
Donofrio averaged nine strikeouts per nine innings pitched, in just over 4.0 innings of work.
Donofrio closed the 2022 campaign in solid fashion, batting over .390 in his final 23 games of the year

QU baseball head coach John Delaney announced a new team member, signing six-year-old Cameron Wilson through Team IMPACT in a press conference held in the Mount Carmel Campus Rec Center on Feb. 12, 2022
He will participate in many activities with the baseball team over the next two years, including games, practices, and other team events

The Bobcats will be back in action on Tuesday, April 11, when QU travels to take on MAAC foe Fairfield at 3 p.m.
