Bobcats Win Low Country Intercollegiate

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC. – Quinnipiac women's golf overcame a six shot deficit to win the Low Country Invitational in Hilton Head, South Carolina on Sunday, March 19th for their biggest win of the season.
The Bobcats shot a team total 619 (+43) to come back from fourth place (six shots down) after shooting a field-best 302, the lowest score of all teams by four strokes. They beat UNC Asheville, who shot a 620 (+44), by one stroke. Elon, Jacksonville, and Presbyterian College rounded out the top five.
Fuge Zhang and Leeyen Peralta tied for fifth place overall, each shooting a 152 (+8). Leeyen Peralta shot a 71 on day two move up the leader board from 30th.
Aimee Uchida finished tied for thirteenth, shooting a 156 (+12). She led all players in Par 3 scoring with two birdies on day two. Kaylee Sakoda had a strong day two, shooting a 78 (+6). She moved up from 39th to finish in a tie for 27th.
Emily Luu tied for 52nd, shooting a 164 (+20). She had two birdies on the front nine today.
The Bobcats will be back in action on Monday, March 27th, traveling to Williamsburg, Virginia to compete in the William and Mary Kingsmill Invitational.

The team showed that they can come back from being down by six strokes and win, showing resilience and grit under pressure.
