HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac softball team will be back on the road on Thursday, February 23rd to face off against the Delaware State Hornets in Dover, Delaware. Game one is scheduled to start at 1:30 PM with game two slated for 3:30 PM.

- The Bobcats have met the Hornets two times throughout their program's histories.
- QU is 0-2 against Delaware State with their last meeting happening in 2006 on the road.
- The Bobcats lost 7-5 and 11-2 to the Hornets.
- Averaging 3.5 runs per contest, Quinnipiac has seven total runs against the Hornets.
- Quinnipiac wrapped up the Hampton/Norfolk State Tournament going 2-2 during the two day tournament.

- Head Coach Hillary Smith enters her fifth season with the Bobcats after being named the eighth coach in program history.
- Coach Smith has brought in six new faces to the program and welcomed back two graduate students for their fifth years.
- Assistant coach Mandie Perez enters her second season with the Bobcats.
- Perez helped Smith see the Bobcats earn two All-MAAC honors at the end of the 2022 season.

- The Bobcats will be back in action on Saturday, March 4th against Drexel and St. John's for the first of two days at the Red Storm Classic.
- First pitch from game one is set for 9:30 AM.
- Sophomore Sydney Horan was named the MAAC Co-Pitcher of the Week for her efforts during the Hampton/Norfolk State Tournament where she posted 13 strikeouts and two shutouts against Lehigh and Bucknell.
