Men's Hockey Claims No. 1 National Ranking

HAMDEN, Conn. — The Quinnipiac Bobcats are the No. 1 team in the country.
Quinnipiac University Men's Ice Hockey received 40 of the 50 possible first place votes in the DCU/USCHO national poll, taking possession of the top spot after controlling victories over Dartmouth and No. 9/10 Harvard over the weekend. The wins extended the squad's unbeaten streak to 16 games.
The USA Hockey Magazine poll also has the Bobcats atop the rankings, as QU received 23 of the available 34 first-place votes to jump Minnesota and into the top spot.
Rand Pecknold's club last ascended to the top of the polls on Jan. 17, 2022, again after sweeping the Harvard/Dartmouth weekend. They have now reached the summit in back to back seasons after not achieving the mark since the 2015-16 campaign.
The Bobcats take their hot stretch to Long Island next weekend, facing non-conference foe LIU before resuming ECAC play the following weekend against Colgate and Cornell.
