HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's lacrosse team dropped a conference matchup to the Fairfield Stags, 19-9, on Wednesday afternoon. Junior Desiree Kleberg tallied another two goals, pushing her season total to 21. Junior goalkeeper Kat Henselder made 11 saves for the Bobcats in the defeat.
Senior attack Sydney Skalstad tallied two goals in the loss. In total, six Bobcats recorded goals in the loss to Fairfield.

GAME SUMMARY
- Fairfield came out firing, tallying four goals within the games first 4:20. Two goals each from Libby Rowe and Elizabeth Talluto gave the Stags the early 4-0 lead.
- Sydney Skalstad scored Quinnipiac's first goal of the game on the man-up with 9:28 left in the first quarter.
- Elizabeth Talluto answered right back with two more goals to give Fairfield a 6-1 lead with just over five minutes to play in the first quarter.
- With exactly four minutes to go, Ellagrace Delmond brought the Bobcats within four with her lone goal of the game.
- Maddie Deegan fired one back into the net 1:54 later to decrease the Stags' lead to three, 6-3.
- Libby Rowe rounded out the scoring for the first quarter with a goal with 1:02 left on the clock in the first quarter.
- The Stags entered the second quarter with a 7-3 advantage.
- Sophia Iaccino opened up the second quarter for the Bobcats with a goal just 1:26 in to bring the Bobcats within three.
- Fairfield scored two more goals less than a minute apart to extend the lead back to five.
- On the man advantage with 10:21 to go in the second quarter, Desiree Kleberg tallied her first goal of the game and the Bobcats were within four.
- Fairfield added another goal with 9:36 to play in the half to make it a 10-5 ballgame.
- The Bobcats entered the locker-room at the half trailing 10-5.
- Fairfield opened up the second half with two quick goals to make the lead seven, just 1:28 in.
- The Bobcats roared right back with three goals within 3:30 to make it a four goal game. Sydney Skalstad, Desiree Kleberg, and Sophia Iaccino tallied the goals to make it a 12-8 game.
- With 2:58 to play in the third quarter, the Stags stretched the lead back to five.
- The Bobcats entered the final 15 minutes trailing Fairfield by a score of 13-8.
- The Stags started the scoring early and often in the final quarter with three straight goals to double up the Bobcats' score, 16-8.
- Sophie Spencer put a halt to the Stag attack when she fired one home with 5:59 to play in the game to make it a 16-9 game.
- The Stags ended the game with three goals in 51 seconds to give them their largest lead of the game, 19-9.
