ALBANY, N.Y. - Sophomore Kendall Cooper and senior Zoe Boyd have received second team and third team all-league honors from ECAC Hockey, as announced by the league on Feb. 28.
Cooper, who was also named a finalist for the Best Defenseman Award, was named to the ECAC Hockey Second Team All-League. She has recorded 24 points on five goals and 19 assists to lead the Bobcats' defensive unit in scoring. Cooper is ranked third in the conference in defensemen scoring behind Colgate's Sydney Bard and Clarkson's Nicole Gosling. This is the sophomore's second ECAC Hockey post-season honor, as she was named to the All-Rookie Team last season. Cooper is +19 this year with 33 blocks.
Boyd was named to the ECAC Hockey Third Team All-League. She has notched one goal and 10 assists for 11 points this season. She is +10 on the season with 41 blocked shots.
Together, Cooper and Boyd, alongside the other Bobcats in the defensive core, and Corinne Schroeder and Logan Angers, recorded the league's best scoring defense, allowing 1.41 goals per game at the end of the regular season.
Against Clarkson in the ECAC Hockey quarterfinal series, Cooper tallied three points and Boyd had one assist. The Bobcats outscored Clarkson 9-1 over two games, tallying the team's first shutout in a playoff game since the ECAC Championship game in 2016.
The Bobcats are back in action this weekend, as the team looks to get back to the ECAC Hockey Championship. The team will face Colgate in the semifinal game at Yale on Friday, March 4 at 6:30 p.m.
