Dezi Jones Named to NJCAA All-America Team

Recent QU Men's Basketball Signee Earns Third Team All-America Honors
CHARLOTTE – Recent Quinnipiac men's basketball signee Dezi Jones has been named a 2020-21 NJCAA Division I All-American, as announced by the NJCAA.
Jones earned a spot on the All-America Third Team after averaging 17.5 points, 4.7 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game in 22 contests as a sophomore at Moberly Area Community College in 2020-21 – shooting 41.5% from the field and 35.5% from three-point range.
The 5-10, 170-pound point guard recorded 19 games of 10+ points last season, surpassing 20 points in a contest 12 separate times in the NJCAA. Jones scored a season-best 34 points on March 3, 2021 against Three Rivers, going 9-of-14 from the floor.
The Bobcats received a commitment from Jones in April. The native of Hannibal, Missouri will join Quinnipiac in 2021-22 with three full years of eligibility remaining.
