HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac field hockey heads down to Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, for the second time this season as the Bobcats will meet the No. 16 Old Dominion Monarchs Friday afternoon in a neutral site matchup at the Villanova Field Hockey Field at the Proving Grounds.
Last Time Out
Quinnipiac battled with Providence the last time out in a game that was scoreless for most of the game before falling in the last second in a 1-0 loss. Nina Santore led the Bobcats with six saves against the Friars.
Scouting Old Dominion
Old Dominion enters Friday's matchup off a 1-3 stretch after facing #4 Liberty in each of the last four games. The Monarchs are 5-4 this season and 5-3 in BIG EAST play after two wins each against Temple and Villanova in addition to a win over Liberty. Old Dominion's Marlon de Bruijne leads the team with 12 goals and 24 points while Riley Taylor leads the team with eight assists and is second with five goals and 18 points. Five players have scored all of Old Dominion's goals. Cam MacGillivray has started all nine games, owning a 1.86 GAA and has made 34 saves on her way to a .667 save percentage.

The Bobcats are 1-5 all-time against the Monarchs with their lone win coming on Oct. 14, 2016, at Yale's Johnson Field. Old Dominion has won each of the last three games between the two teams, including last season's meeting in Norfolk, Virginia, by a 4-0 score.
Santore Says Stop
Nina Santore made six saves against Providence in the heartbreaking 1-0 loss last Saturday and now has 45 saves on the season in just seven games. She ranks third in the BIG EAST with 45 saves while her 6.43 save per game ranks first in the league.
Defensive Funaro
Amanda Funaro has been a beast on the defensive end for the Bobcats making six defensive saves this season, good for the BIG EAST lead and is the only player in the league with more than two. She is one of two Bobcats to play every minute this season.
