Maggie Baker Leads All Players with 16 Kills
ALBANY, N.Y. – The No. 7 Quinnipiac women's volleyball team dropped fell to No. 2 Canisius in the MAAC Quarterfinals, 3-1 on Thursday afternoon from the Albany Capital Center. The Bobcats fought back in the first set to take a 1-0 lead in the match, but the Griffs answered, winning three straight sets to move on in the tournament.
Maggie Baker led all players with 16 kills on the afternoon. She posted her fifth double-double of the season, adding 18 digs. Daniella Balsano also had 18 digs in the match for the Bobcats.
First year Chloe Ka'ahanui dished out 23 assists and junior Nicole Migliozzi tallied 17 assists.

QUINNIPIAC STATISTICAL LEADERS
The teams traded points through the beginning of the set. The set was tied at seven after a Nicole Legg ace. Canisius then went on an 8-3 run to take a 15-10 lead, heading into the media timeout. Out of the timeout, Quinnipiac won four straight points to get within one. The Bobcats continued to battle, and eventually went on a 3-0 run to tie the set at 21, forcing a Griffs timeout. That timeout did not kill the Quinnipiac momentum as it won four of the final five points to win the set, 25-21.
SET TWO
The Griffs used a hot start to set to gain an early advantage in the set. They would eventually extend their lead to 13-8, forcing a Quinnipiac timeout. Out of the timeout, Canisius won six of the next eight points, including a 4-0 run to open up a 19-10 advantage. The Griffs won the final four points of the set to win it, 25-15, and even the match at one set apiece.
SET THREE
Neither team led by more than two points leading into the media timeout, where the Bobcats led 15-14. Coming out of the media, Canisius took five of the next six points, taking a 19-16 lead. The Bobcats got within one point on three separate occasions, but the Griffs closed out the set on a 4-0 run to win it 25-20, taking a 2-1 lead in the match.
SET FOUR
Once again the set was tightly contested in its early stages. With the Bobcats leading 8-7, Canisius went on a 5-0 run to take a 12-8 lead, forcing a Quinnipiac timeout. Out of the timeout, the Griffs won six of the next eight points, extending their lead to 18-10, leading to another Bobcats timeout. Canisius finished the set on a 4-0 run, taking it 25-14, and winning the match, 3-1.
