Three Bobcats Record Hat Tricks in the Defeat
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's lacrosse team dropped fell to the Fairfield Stags Monday afternoon, 14-13. The Bobcats scored two goals in the final minute-plus, but the late charge fell just short.
Three Bobcats recorded hat tricks as Maddie Deegan, Sophia Iaccino and Maddie Noel each found the back of the net three times. Noel scored her first goals in her college career in the loss.
Iaccino paired her three goals with a career-high seven draw controls, two caused turnovers, three ground balls and an assist. Deegan also tallied an assist for the Bobcats.
Junior midfielder Gabby Beckett recorded a career-high four assists in the defeat.

- Both teams traded goals to three-all. The Bobcats then went on a 3-0 run, forcing Fairfield to call a timeout.

- Quinnipiac went on a quick two goal run to cut the Stags lead to one, 12-11.
- Fairfield scored two straight to extend their lead to 14-11.
- The Bobcats scored two goals within 57 seconds to cut the Fairfield lead to one. The Bobcats had one last chance off a draw with 10 seconds, but Fairfield controlled it to hang on 14-13.
- The Bobcats edged Fairfield in shots on goal, 21-18.
- Both teams both recorded 12 caused turnovers.
- Quinnipiac converted on three of its eight free position attempts.
- The draw control battle was won by the Bobcats, 17-12.
