Track & Field Competes at UConn Spring Invite

RESULTS
STORRS, Conn. - The Quinnipiac outdoor track & field team competed at the UConn Spring Invite on Saturday, March 27 in Storrs, Conn. Senior Britney Del Mundo and graduate student Mikah Maples led the team with two school record breaking performances in the triple jump and shot put. Junior Symone Foster finished first in the 100m hurdles (14.10). Quinnipiac finished third as a team with 90 points. UConn took first with 209, Army was second with 184 and Northeastern came in third with 64.
Individual Results - Track

Individual Results - Track
- Junior Symone Foster won the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.10. Junior Kalli'ana Botelho finish in third in the same event with a time of 14.90.
- FIrst-year Alyssa Romagnoli placed fifth in 100m (12.74). Junior Aisha Gay was right behind her in sixth with a time of 12.98.
- In the 200m dash, senior Britney Del Mundo tallied a time of 26.67 in fifth place. Foster finished in seventh with a time of 27.02.
- Senior Melissa Solomon finished in second place with a time of 59.88 in the 400m dash. Sophomore Eileen Donovan finished in fifth with a time of 1:02.91 in the same event.
- Senior Caitlyn Halloran tallied a time of 1:07:10 in second place in the 40m hurdles.
- In the 800m, senior Brooke Hagen finished in fifth place with a time of 2:18.00. Sophomore Cassidy Phillips took ninth in the same event (2:34.47).
- Junior Mia Pestle finished fifth in the 1500m run with a time of 4:42.34. In the same event, junior Amanda Carlson finished in eighth with a time of 4:46.94. Junior Katie Bradley finished in 12th (5:20.24).
- First-year Liv DiStefano took third in the 5000m, which is her first collegiate outdoor event. She recorded a time of 17:43.97. Junior Emily Young finished behind her in fifth place (18:20.88), followed by Kate Gihorski, Samantha Leal and Ana Caliri.
- Quinnipiac took first in the 4x100m and third in the 4x400m relay.
- Mikah Maples had a solid day in the field. She broke the school record in the shot put with a 13.20m throw. She finished in second in the discus throw with a 40.63m throw.
- Del Mundo also broke the school record in the triple jump, finishing in fifth place with a 11.57m mark. In the same event, sophomore Camille Sweet took ninth (10.61m).
- In the high jump, Botelho finished in fourth place with a 1.60m mark.
- Laura Thomas tallied a 32.25m throw in the javelin and finished in fifth. Amanda Minervino recorded a 31.63m throw in sixth place.
- Sweet took sixth in the long jump with a 5.44m mark, and Del Mundo recorded an eighth-place finish with a 5.37m jump.
- The Bobcats are scheduled to compete at Rider on Saturday, April 3 in Lawrenceville, N.J.
