ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – The Quinnipiac women's basketball team fell in the MAAC Quarterfinals to Rider, 62-50 on Wednesday afternoon from Atlantic City's Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall.
MAAC Defensive Player of the Year Mikala Morris led the Bobcats offensively with 15 points. The Springfield, Ohio native grabbed nine rebounds and recorded three steals for the Bobcats.
Junior guard Rose Caverly chipped in with 12 points for the Bobcats, knocking down two shots from behind the arc.

- A hot shooting start for the Bobcats helped them take an early 11-8 lead heading into the first media timeout. Quinnipiac shot 4-of-7 from the field and knocked down all three of its three point attempts in the opening five minutes.
- Quinnipiac continued its hot shooting, extending its lead to 20-11 with just under two minutes remaining in the first quarter.
- Rider concluded the quarter on a 6-0 run to cut its deficit to 20-17.
