Samoskevich Earns ECAC Hockey's Rookie of the Week

HAMDEN, Conn. – First-year Maddy Samoskevich has been named the Adirondack Health Rookie of the Week, as announced by the ECAC league office on Tuesday, Feb. 9. This is the rookie's first weekly award of her career.
Samoskevich had a three-point weekend, as the Bobcats took down the Sacred Heart Pioneers, 6-0. The first-year recorded her second multi-point game of the season with three assists and had a +5 on-ice rating.
The Sandy Hook, Conn. native now had eight points on the season with one goal and seven assists. Samoskevich and first-year Kendall Cooper are tied for fifth in the nation for points per game (defensemen), averaging 1.00 points per game.
The Bobcats are back in action this weekend as the team returns to conference play. The Colgate Raiders will travel to Hamden to take on Quinnipiac Feb. 13-14.
