Strong Offensive Attack Lifts Quinnipiac in In-State Rivalry Matchup
HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's basketball team pulled out a hard fought victory over the Fairfield Stags, winning 67-55 on Friday evening in Hamden. The Bobcats took control of the game in the third quarter and never looked back en route to the win.
Westminster, Md native Mackenzie DeWees, had a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds and added four steals.
Sophomore forward Mikala Morris led the Bobcats offensively with 19 points and nine rebounds. The Springfield, Ohio native also dished out seven assists in the victory.
Junior guard Rose Caverly had a career night knocking down five shots from behind the arc. The Brick, N.J. native finished the game with 18 points, her second-highest total as a Bobcat.
