First Year Goalie Leads Nation in Goals Against Average

HAMDEN, Conn. - First-year goaltender Yaniv Perets was named the ECAC Hockey MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Month, as announced by the league office on Thursday afternoon.

Perets was tremendous in net in November, posting shutouts in three of his five starts for the Bobcats. All three of his shutouts came against ECAC Hockey opponents, as Quinnipiac has begun league play 3-0-1 in 2021. Overall, the rookie boasted a 0.98 GAA and .942 save percentage in November and now ranks first in the nation with a 1.06 GAA on the season.

Quinnipiac will return to the ice on Friday and Saturday for another ECAC Hockey road weekend at RPI and Union. Both games are scheduled for 7 PM.
