Friars Snap Bobcats' Three-Game Win Streak
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Senior guard Mackenzie DeWees led the Quinnipiac women's basketball team with 11 points, eight rebounds and three steals, but it wasn't enough as the Bobcats fell short on the road at Providence, 68-50, on Saturday afternoon inside Alumni Hall.
Junior forward Mikala Morris contributed 11 points, seven rebounds and two steals, while junior forward Cur'Tiera Haywood added seven points, three rebounds and two steals in the loss.
The Bobcats' three-game win streak was snapped as they fell to 5-4 on the season with the loss, while the Friars improved to 6-5 with the win.

- The Bobcats used the final 2:30 of the first quarter to outscore the Friars, 7-3, trimming Providence's lead to 15-14 entering the second
- Providence outscored Quinnipiac 20-8 in the quarter, taking a 35-22 lead into the break
- The Friars used the opening seven minutes of the second half to outscore the Bobcats 13-8, pushing their lead to 48-30
- However, Quinnipiac used the final 2:40 of the third quarter to outscore Providence, 8-2, to cut the deficit to 50-38 entering the final period
- The deficit proved to be too much for the Bobcats, as they never cut the deficit within single-digits in the fourth quarter, eventually falling 68-50.
