Bobcats Earn Largest Victory of D1 Era in Friday's Home Opener

HAMDEN, Conn. – Five players scored in double figures for Quinnipiac men's basketball, leading the Bobcats past Western New England, 103-52, on Friday night at the People's United Center.
The 51-point victory is the largest win of the Bobcats' Division I era. QU's previous largest victory came on Nov. 22, 2005 – a 49-point victory against Concordia.

- The 55.7% shooting mark is QU's most efficient shooting night since Feb. 7, 2021 against Fairfield – when the Bobcats shot 57.4% from the field.
- Matt Balanc and Tyrese Williams led the Bobcats in scoring for the second straight game, as each recorded 17 points. Williams finished the night shooting 6-for-8 from the floor, while Balanc went 7-for-15 from the floor.
- Savion Lewis finished just three assists shy of a triple-double. Lewis had 12 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists. 10 rebounds is a new career-best mark for Lewis.
- Dezi Jones stuffed the stat sheet with 14 points, six rebounds and five assists – all of which of new career-high marks at Quinnipiac for the sophomore guard.
- Tymu Chenery added 13 points and four helpers.
- Bernie Blunt scored the first nine points of his collegiate career.
- Jacob Rigoni added eight points and six rebounds.
- Elias King recorded five points and four rebounds.
- Kevin Marfo contributed with seven assists and six rebounds for the Bobcats.
- Quinn Guth knocked down a three-pointer, his first collegiate points.
- Brendan Martin also scored the first two points of his collegiate career, adding one assist in the second half.
- Quinnipiac is back in action at the People's United Center in Hamden on Monday, Nov. 15, hosting Holy Cross.
